{"id":22,"date":"2014-01-03T16:33:19","date_gmt":"2014-01-03T16:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/35.161.90.220\/wptest\/?page_id=22"},"modified":"2014-02-01T16:02:43","modified_gmt":"2014-02-01T16:02:43","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.beercomps.org\/?page_id=22","title":{"rendered":"Organizer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>About the webmaster and competition organizer.<\/p>\n<p>I have been brewing since Labor Day (September) of 1990.<\/p>\n<p>I am an avid homebrewer, starting out as an extract brewer Labor Day weekend of 1990.\u00a0\u00a0 Then in January 1997 I moved to all-grain brewing with the help of my brother and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Although I&#8217;d been judging since the early 90&#8217;s I passed the <a title=\"BJCP\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bjcp.org\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">BJCP<\/a> judge exam acquiring Certified judging status in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>My first <a title=\"Draught Board\" href=\"http:\/\/www.draughtboard.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Draught Board<\/em><\/a> meeting was in June of 1991.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been a member ever since, including serving as president for 6 years. Shortly after joining the club, like most members, I was drafted into service for BABO (the Bay Area Brew Off).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I started out as a steward and apprentice judge.<\/li>\n<li>My brother, Don, and I prepared and served lunch at the 1994 BABO at Lyon&#8217;s pub in Dublin California<\/li>\n<li>I became the competition registrar in 1996 receiving and recording all the bottles for each homebrew entry.<\/li>\n<li>I took over running the competition in 2005.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This website was created to better help me administer and run the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for the interest,<br \/>\nRoger St. Denis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the webmaster and competition organizer.
