Enter BABO

Register your homebrews online at the Alameda County Fair website.
The guidelines for participating in the homebrew competition are available online.

The following step by step instructions will help brewers, judges and stewards register on the fair’s system, ShoWorks.

  1. Go to alamedbabo.fairmanager.com
  2. Click the <sign in> button in top right corner
  3. Click  <I am an exhibitor>
    Type in your first and last name 
    Click <continue>
  4. Choose either of the following:
    <I am a new exhibitor> or
    <I have yet to register this year>
  5. Key in the requested information on the next screen (password, address etc.)
    Verify your information is correct, then click <continue> 
  6. For department select <Homebrew – (BABO Bay Area Brew-Off)> 
  7. Choose which Division you’d like to enter, either
    <Homebrew>   to register homebrew entries,
    <Judges Sign-up>  to register to judge the final round on May 6, 2023 or
    <Label Competition>  to register homebrew label entries 
  8. Choose the correct class, either
    A homebrew entry. 2021 BJCP Beer Styles Categories correspond to Fair Class Numbers.
    A homebrew label design entry:
    <Class 1. Summer Vibes>
    <Class 2. Best Homebrew Label>

    Or to volunteer to judge or steward at final judging on May 6, 2023.

  9. Fill in the rest of the information
    * If your club is not listed, choose <Independent>.
  10. Add your entry to your cart.
    You should see “entry added” to the cart indicating a successful registration.
  11. Repeat steps 6-10 to add more entries to your cart (for multiple entries and to sign up to judge/steward)
    * There is no charge for signing up to judge or steward.
